News   via Becky Huff Hunter – The Institute of Contemporary Art’s new, David Zwirner-supported exhibition Jason Rhoades: Four Roads is in stride, continuing until December 29, 2013. This is the first major museum survey of Rhoades’s work, built around four installations to be navigated by four interpretive paths or roads. News This just in from Madelyn Roehrig, a friend of ours in Pittsburgh. Her project Conversations with Andy is being featured Monday on NPR’s Morning Edition!  The story, part of NPR’s summer road trip series, Dead Stop,  is airing Monday, Aug 6, Andy Warhol’s birthday. As a tribute to her subject, and to the other artistic spirits buried in the Green River Cemetery on Long Island, Madelyn plans on listening from Andy’s grave with some other folks while celebrating the artist’s birthday. News Economic news - As much as we long to believe in the vision of recovery the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance has painted for us with glowing news of Philadelphia’s rebounding cultural sector, another depressing barrage of bad news for the arts flies in the face of their optimism. NPR is confronting the specter of major budget cuts, while 1616 Walnut, the building that houses the Fleisher-Ollman Gallery and the GPCA is being sold to be developed into residential space. News Jason Lazarus will take your unwanted photos Do you have photos that are too painful to keep around? If so, Chicago-based artist Jason Lazarus will take them.  He’s collecting unwanted photos for an art installation. There’s no need to provide the background for the photos, and if you feel they are too private to be shown, the artist will display them face down.
