YouTube founder talks…but not on YouTube

Nice video interview with Chad Hurley, founder of YouTube, …and it’s NOT on YouTube! It’s on the Financial Times website. One thing Hurley mentions is that internet videos on YouTube will most likely remain short-length the way they are now. Peter Rose on YouTube and Transfalumination

Peter Rose, Transfalumination. This is a low resolution screen grab and doesn’t do it justice. Peter Rose, wizard of film/video whose works screen nationally, internationally and (too infrequently) locally, emailed to say he’s got new work (along with some older work) on YouTube. “I’ve recently concluded that the best way to show work these days is to avoid waiting for the right gallery/museum context to present itself and, instead, to just put work up on youtube,” wrote Rose, a comment so interesting I just had to follow up with him (see Q&A at bottom). Making cookies the factory way

Thanks to Chris and his nice comment on the previous post about Space 1026′s show handjob, we have this great YouTube video from Mr. Rogers Neighborhood that shows the insides of a fortune cookie factory where things are definitely not hand-made. My favorite part is when Mr. Rogers says that the cookie batter looks like “a painting…a moving painting!” Mr. Rogers rules. He’s probably up in heaven teaching the angels.
