Arcadia’s picks announced for Works on Paper

The buzz for the Aracadia Works on Paper show is always big in Philadelphia, often including surprising and exciting choices in the mix. This is one of those old-fashioned shows that juries from the real art work, not from secondary images, and that approach has stood the show in good stead, resulting in a staunch regionalism that transcends narrowness. It’s an artist’s artist kind of show.

Three and a half years since the previous one in Spring 2006, this year’s event opens soon–Nov. 18 – Dec. 21. And let’s cut to the chase–here’s who was selected by MIT list Visual Center Curator João Ribas (formerly, curator, The Drawing Center, New York):
