Never too much Michael Taylor–talk at Free Library

I can never get too much of Michael Taylor, the energetic curator of Modern Art at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Apparently, the Free Library has the same idea. So they invited him to take a walk down the Parkway to speak for their summer talk series–Become a Philadelphia Insider: Leaders of key Philly Institutions provide an inside view of how they work.

Here’s the info on Michael’s talk:
July 21 Mounting A Blockbuster Art Exhibit
The Muriel and Philip Berman Curator of Modern Art at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Michael Taylor, explains how such a show is selected and organized.

And since I’m on a people I love kick, the speaker after Michael is also super influential and well worth the listen–the guy who brought back investigative reporting big-time at the Inky. OK, he’s my friend. But still.

Here’s the info on Bill’s talk:
July 28 Choosing the News
Philadelphia Inquirer Editor & Executive Vice President William Marimow explains how the paper decides which potential news stories to pursue.

All lectures, at the Free Library’s Main Branch, begin at 11:00 A.M. and are held in Room #108. For more information call 215-686-5331.
