News Joe Boruchow’s largest piece so far is now complete! Gracing the walls of a classic rowhome between 9thand 10th on Dickinson Street across from Southwark Post Office in South Philadelphia, Watchtowers is a 36×46 foot mural. Created through the City of Philadelphia’s Mural Arts Program, with Brad Carney as lead muralist, Watchtowers’ dedication is being held on Sunday, November 17 at 2pm. The mural is a striking homage to both the historical and current architectural elements of Philadelphia’s East Passyunk Avenue neighborhood; residents of the area well-versed in Philly history might even recognize features like those of the demolished Moyamensing Prison. Groupthink – An artists’ cluster, expanding outwards in Wilmington

Dear Artblog readers- Some of the artists in this show are my friends, but for the purpose of this review, I will remain as unbiased as possible. Some people treat correspondences in the works of alumni from a particular art school like the signs of an emerging art movement.  In Groupthink, curator (and Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA) alumna) Lauren Gidwitz takes the opposite stance.
