Kip Deeds and glue, 2006

This semester we taught at Tyler on the third floor, and down below us on two, Kip Deeds was teaching a printmaking class. Because his schedule and ours coincided, we kept saying hi in the hall but never made it to one anothers’ classes. So now that the semester is just about over, we’re back to communing with Kip via email. We just learned from him that the Newark Museum has purchased his drawing “Nat Turner,” one of a large number of his works based on American history. The piece was a purchase prize winner from the Perkins Art Center Works on Paper show in the fall. Here’s Roberta’s post on Deeds’ Fleisher Challenge exhibit last year.

All right.
