The unbearable heaviness of some art books

sponsored

News flash, publishers:  Get a grip.  Your books are killing us!  Here’s Roberta having trouble getting a grip due to the weight of paper and binding and too many pictures.  On the left and weighing in at 9 lbs is the Cezanne and Beyond catalog, published by the Philadelphia Museum of Art.  On the right and weighing 10 lbs. is the Saatchi Collection book about new sculpture that they own, The Shape of Things To Come, published by Rizzoli.  They’re both great books and beautiful, but they’re both too vente! We can’t even tote them to Starbucks to read them.
