Matt Singer is an independent writer, curator, and university instructor. He earned an MA and PhD from Penn State in American Studies, focusing on visual and material culture and ethnic and religious studies. He served as a writer for the Philadelphia Museum of Art from 2001 to 2015 and a curator for the Philadelphia Museum of Jewish Art from 1999 to 2014.
