I heard Mark Dion speak at Hampshire College a week or so ago. Fascinating guy, recommended.

Oops, and here’s something else going on–Tomorrow–that I thought was worth a mention–email from artist Gene Schmidt:
For any Philadelphia friends that may be interested, LOVETOWN PA hits the streets this Saturday, May 1, 8 AM, at the corner of W Cambria St and N 6th St. I will be in town through Tuesday, so feel free to come out and say hello any time. I don’t know how fast I will be moving, so you may have to search a little. There is a map of my proposed route at http://www.lovetownpa.com . If you do come out, I would suggest not coming between 12 and 2, in case we are taking a lunch break somewhere. I do not expect to make it as far as Love Park on this trip, so if you look for us, look to the north.

There’s more info on Gene’s project at the website.
