The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts—Their current show “The Female Gaze” features over 200 works from the extensive Linda Lee Alter Collection of Art by Women. This incredibly unique show highlights the work of these female artists in a way that showcases the stylistic diversity, range of subject matter, and the high quality of work being made by these very talented women.
The University of the Arts Continuing Education—One of the major art schools in Philadelphia, UArts is hosting an information session for their Continuing Education program on Wednesday, January 16th 2013, from 5:30 to 7:oo. Please check out their website and this event to learn more about this wonderful opportunity for life-long learning!
Woodmere Art Museum—Their current show, a restrospective of the renowned artist Murray Dessner, ends this coming Sunday, January 6th, 2013, so if you haven’t already seen it, don’t miss this chance to check out the wonderful paintings on display there!
Tyler School of Art—Their Victory for All 2013 Alumni show is coming up this spring, so if you are a Tyler alumni check out the link to apply. The deadline is midnight January 12th, 2013.
Gallery Joe–This Philadelphia gallery, specializing in works on paper, has been a long-time supporter of artblog! Please check out their current show Small Scale: Expansive Visions featuring the work of a number of different artists as well as Down, a solo show of work by the artist Lynne Clibanoff.
