Picture post – Sarah McEneaney and Leroy Johnson at the Youth Study Center

More coming soon on my trip to the Youth Study Center in West Philadelphia to see the Percent for Art projects by the two great local artists.  Here is simply a picture, a detail of the McEneaney work, Philadelphia, City of Parks, 2012, in which the artist and her dog Trixie are seen in the landscape, and Sarah has written the names of all the parks she has visited to put together this large egg tempera work.  It’s lovely.  Johnson’s works (not pictured but they will be in the next post!) are equally brilliant in color and ebullient in subject matter.
