The fabulous words-as-art guy, Anthony Campuzo is part of a group show at White Columns, April 3 through May 2. The group is 11 artists who have participated in White Columns programs during the past three years. Here’s who: Anthony Campuzano, Carter, Jennifer Cohen, Peter Gallo, Tamar Halpern, Colter Jacobsen, Lars Laumann, Sarah Anne Lobb, Mitzi Pederson, Eileen Quinlan, John Stezaker. Show runs April 3 – May 2.

Astrid Bowlby in Boston and New York!!!

Look for drawings by Astrid Bowlby at OSP Gallery, in Boston, opening May 2. The gallery owner, Steven Zevitas, is also the publisher of New American Paintings. The show is titled Conversations with 23.

Also she will be participating in the Marie Walsh Sharpe Foundation 2008 open studios Sat., Apr. 26 and Sunday, Apr. 27, 2-6 p.m.(a total of 17 participating artists will be showing), where she has been working, commuting there from Philadelphia. The studios are at 20 JAY STREET, 7TH floor, suite 720, Brooklyn (D.U.M.B.O.). Take the F train to York Street Station. The location is three blocks west toward the river.

Stuart Shils at Davis and Langdale

Philadelphia impressionist Stuart Shils is showing a collection of very small monotypes of Italy, made in Philadelphia following an Italian summer teaching gig. The work is on exhibit at Davis and Langdale, in New York, until April 26.
