Next on Artblog Radio, John Gatti on the Barnes method, the new building on the Parkway and more

John Gatti is an artist and instructor in art and aesthetics at the Barnes Foundation.  He has taught the Barnes method of art education for more than 10 years, and more recently, introduced the class “Art Now!” in which students accompany him to Philadelphia’s commercial galleries and museums to study contemporary art.  Since moving to the Parkway, the Barnes has diversified its programming, offering family programs and Friday night soirees with wine and spirits and art. In this clip from our interview, John tells us about how he paired discussion of a sumptuous Redon painting in the galleries with a tequila blanco. We met John last March 11 in one of the digitally-equipped classrooms at the new Barnes on the Parkway. Come back for the full podcast episode next week.
