Kukuli Velardi, DETAIL “Saint Anna and the Virgin Mary as a Child,” from the series Corpus, 2013-2016. On view at Woodmere Art Museum in the 77th Annual Juried Show

While up at Woodmere Art Museum recently visiting the outstanding 77th Annual Juried Show (review forthcoming by Michael Lieberman!), we met and had a wonderful chat with Sarah Abraham, who blogs about art and culture at Vin de Vie Wine of Life. Sarah writes in a fresh and unencumbered way and takes great pictures. Here is her blog post about the Woodmere show,
That For Which There is No Battle: Woodmere’s 77th Annual Juried Exhibition. Be sure to check out Sarah’s blog. (She’s also got two great posts about the Catholic Church/Haute Couture exhibition at the Met Museum – Part 1, Part 2 at the Cloisters).

The Woodmere 77th Annual exhibit closes Sept. 3, with a closing reception on Sunday, September 2, 2 – 4 PM.

Open Call for artist entries, Art Ability exhibition – DEADLINE Wednesday, July 18, 2018
Via Gaby Heit, Art Ability Curator…

Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital’s Art Ability program is now accepting artist entries for the 2018–19 Exhibition and Sale. This marks the 23rd year of the international juried exhibition and sale of art and fine crafts by artists with disabilities.

Established in 1996, Art Ability is one of the country’s largest international juried exhibitions and sales of art and fine crafts created by artists with cognitive, physical, hearing and visual disabilities. Art Ability provides a unique venue for artists with disabilities to display and sell their work and inspires the patients of Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital to explore their own creativity.

Last year we awarded over $7,000.00 in donated prize money in the categories of Fine Crafts and Jewelry, Mixed Media, Photography, Sculpture and 3 Dimensional Work, Works on Canvas or Board, Works on Paper and an additional thematic category.
