Imani Roach speaks with ICA's new Director of Public Engagement about his various publics to serve: students at University of Pennsylvania (ICA's parent institution); the neighborhood around Penn; community groups in Philadelphia. The interview was recorded this month at the TGMR studio and is 27:40 minutes long.
James Britt Britt arrived in Philadelphia 7 months ago after spending 20 years in Chicago, working at the Art Institute as Director of Multicultural Affairs, a role similar to his role as Director of Public Engagement at ICA. He’s settling in and excited to be here, and he talks about the bubbling energy in Philadelphia’s art world and sees the potential for many opportunities.
The interview was recorded at the TGMR studio at the Galleries at Moore College of Art and Design. Thanks to Matt Kalasky for facilitating Artblog’s use of the recording studio. Artblog Radio is now available on Apple (iTunes and Apple Podcasts) and Spotify, and available via RSS
