Thank you for participating in “Artists in the time of Coronavirus!”

Artists and art lovers and friends of Artblog,

Thank you for following and/or participating in our open-call, non-juried, virtual exhibition Artists in the time of Coronavirus! As of July 29, 2020 at 11:59 PM, we are no longer accepting new submissions.

Since March 19 when we announced the open call, we have received submissions from almost 350 artists in total and will be presenting the final ~20 artists’ materials over the next few weeks. We have published statements and poems that have made us laugh and cry; our eyes have been opened to so many more artists in our wonderful city (and beyond)!

We realize the “Time of Coronavirus” is still upon us and are honored that in the four-plus months we ran the series we heard from so many of you. You poured out your thoughts and heartfelt wishes and art and helped keep the community spirit alive.  We are deeply moved at your generosity and love for each other and at your commitment to your art practice. As we head into the Fall, we will continue to bring you art commentary, comics and news as we have in the past. This is Artblog’s way to help keep the art community spirit alive and well.

Thank you, new friends and old, for being part of the Artblog family, and we hope you will keep in touch! Stay tuned for news about our upcoming 17th birthday party and virtual silent auction this September!

Love,
Artblog
