Got paper? Paper Trail wants it

I told you briefly about Spector Gallery’s new website, Art Jaw, launching May 31, and the two-day exhibit Paper Trail (June 9 and 10) here.

What I didn’t mention is that the gallery’s got an open call for paper for the exhibit. And if you make art, administer an arts program, curate, jury or write about art, you’re invited to participate. Artifacts like the aforementioned bills and rejection letters are invited. But so, too, are memorable emails, funny letters, and other administrative stuff that makes the art world go round. (My husband calls the phenomena administrivia and I think that describes it pretty well.)

The deadline for submission is June 5. And the only requirement is that your paper be 8 1/2″ by 11″ in size — and be paper, of course. Do NOT send originals because you won’t get them back. Make a photocopy and submit that. If you want to remain ANONYMOUS then white out or black out the incriminating names. Send or put through Spector Gallery’s mail slot (address below) or send your administrivia by email to PaperTrail@spectorspector.com. And see you there. It should be a happy non-trivial experience for all.

MAIL or DROP OFF by JUNE 5
