Nose Bleed Chapter 5

A black and white multi-paneled comic by Derick Jones titled Nose Bleed. This installment is part five. The story opens with a pumpkin on a fence with someone's photo attached and the words, "Later that day." The following panel exclaims "BOOM!!!" as the pumpkin explodes. Following a boy with dreaded hair and a bloody nose clenches his fists and exclaims, "Yes!" The next panel shows the man speaking to another man with black hair and an open collar shirt, they are in a trailer park, the first says, "Brett and his goons come anywhere near me this summer they're getting popped!" The other man responds, "Nah man. Way too violent." The following panel shows a closeup on both their faces, the man with the open collar begins, "We do something like that and it makes us no better than them. Plus you're way too kind to pull that off." Proceeding to a row of three vertical panels. The man with the open collar shirt continue to go back and forth with the dreaded man, "We gotta embarrass them. That way they feel how we feel." The other responds, "Great so we're gonna take the high road some more?" the other "Not exactly. We'll think of something." In the middle panel the collared shirt man walks away from the other man in his backyard. The man with dreaded hair asks, "Where you going? Let's think of something now." The other responds, "To Tilda's house." In the final panel of the row the man can be seen walking down the alleyway between houses, the dreaded man yells from his backyard, "Great, no revenge and I'm the third wheel now?" The man walking responds, "Haha! Later dude." In the next panel the front of a house is shown with someone trying to enter, it's night as indicated by the text, "Later that night." The next panel shows two people sitting on the sidewalk outside an empty lot between buildings. One says to the other, "Gary! Thank God it's you!" In the next panel we see the people speaking, one a female on the ground grabbing her knee. Gary says, "Stacey? What're you doing out her?" She responds, "Dude I totally goofed and uh twisted my uh ankle! Can you look at it?" The next four panels are backgrounded black, isolating the figures. Gary leans toward Stacey and says, "Not much I can do. Why don't we call your parents and they can come-" Stacey interrupts, "I totally would but uhmm. My phone! It's like so dead. Just like sit with me til it feels better please." The next panel the tip of a bat appears out of the dark, Gary says, "I can sit for a little bit but are you sure there's no one we can call?" The following panel the bat is shown drawn back with hands gripping it, Stacey is heard saying, "Dude my parents would totally kill me if they knew I was out here this late." the next panel blood rushes from Gary's head as a "CRAK" is heard.
Part two of Nose Bleed Part 5. Gary has just been assaulted with a bat, the first panel shows Gary bleeding on the ground in fetal position. A group of boys are gathered around, one holding a bat, two of them gasping, and the first in a defiant position saying, "Got ya bitch!" the bat holder says, "Damn right. I don't know how you did that witch craft shit." Continuing into a black background closeup of the bat wielder saying, "But I'm gonna keep hitting you til you tell me everything." The following panel shows Gary at the edge of a bloody bat grasping his head, the man continues, "Oh what's wrong ching chong? I knock the Engrish out of you?" The next panel taking up the horizontal width of the page shows Gary, bloody, and choking, "Uh!" "Uh - Uh!" The three boys and girl are shown panicked in the next panel. Beginning with a boy, "Oh fuck! Is that his brain hanging out?" Stacey says, "We gotta help him out" The next boy, "Fuck no! I'm not losing my baseball scholarship for this loser." The next, "Fuck em. Let's bail." The following panel shows the edge of a nearby building starting to crumble and crack, someone says, "We gotta at least move his body!" someone else, "And leave finger prints? No Way!" The next three panels show the sequence of multiple houses and an excavator exploding their fragile pieces of brick and glass. The kids surrounded by the popping of broken windows each say, "What. The. Fuck!!!" The final panel shows the bloody body of Gary his hands commanding an aura around them as the rocks and blood near him levitate indicating his responsibility for the destruction around him.

Panel two adds four onlookers as the sphere develops a defined shape. Panel 3 depicts blood being drawn violently out of a person. Panel 4 shows the victims hand being forced into horribles shapes. Panel 5 the hand and arm in free fall. Panel 6 shows the victim whose arm is now resting on the ground. The entire body covered in blood. Panel 7 the sphere begins to break up. Panel 8 the structure and integrity of the sphere are completely falling a part. Panel 8 the four onlookers stare in shock then scream RUN! Panel 9, the final panel, shows the four onlookers as they run from the debris falling back to the ground with a catastrophic effect. The strip end with "To Be Cont."

Nose Bleed Chapter 6
A black and white comic, called “Dead Pixel,” shows a Manga-influenced story with a green monster that represents the dead pixel that can appear on a computer screen. In this chapter the dead pixel wanders through a movie lot like setting changing it's shape to blend into the surroundings. A man is witness to some of this and a young girl cries over a lost balloon.

A black-and-white multi-panel comic, titled NOSE BLEED, part 4, shows a narrative of bullying of a POC woman, Tilda, by a white man. Tilda’s boyfriend, Gary, who has super powers that come on with a nose bleed, intercedes and beats the bullies in a fight, revealing his super strength and powers. Tilda is impressed but tells Gary she would have preferred to handle it her way. In the end, the bullies look at the couple from afar, scowling and below the story, the words” TO BE CONTINUED” are shown.

NOSE BLEED Chapter 4
A 24-panel black-and-white comic by Derick Jones titled "Nose Bleed" In the first panel a police building is shown with reporters standing on the outside. The next panel to the right, shows the detectives in their office, the female detective on the left says, "Reporters are already starting to gather outside. Christ its only been a day..." The male detective responds, "Goddamn vultures." The second left hand panel shows the two detectives and a man on a computer in the office. The female detective asks, "Hey Einstein you find anything?" The man on the computer responds, "Yeah a 15 second reel front row seats." The next right panel is split in two showing a TikTok of a man grasping his bulging head as others around look in fear. The second half of the split panel shows the moment the man's head bursts with fear striking the viewers. The following left panel shows the detective and computer user, the detective sips his coffee and utters, "But the footage is too scrambled to grab any faces from it." The other man responds, "True but whoever uploaded this was stupid or kind enough to tag everyone in it." In the next right panel the two detectives walk through the precinct, the female detective says, "Wonderful well let's bring em in and shake am down." The following panel spans the width of the page and shows the two detectives interrogating a man. The male detective on the right starts, "Normally we'd read you Miranda rights but you're not under arrest." The female cop follows, "We know you were with Brett yesterday and we just want to know what happened to him." The next row of panels is split into three across the page for four rows. In the left panel the man being interrogated responds, "Regge started it." The middle panel shows a man in a backwards cap and cutoff shirt saying, "Fool got clocked the second he stepped to Brett." The right panel shows the detectives, with the male asking, "Why did Regge come at Brett?" The second row left panel shows the same man questioning himself saying, "Shit I guess he was jealous his little chick was hanging with the big dawgs." The middle panel shows a man blowing smoke on a woman "Pfew!" in a creek bed in the forest. The man being interrogated continues, "I aint want her near us cause she gives me the creeps." "I think Brett liked her tho. He smoked her out." The second row right panel shows the female detective sternly questioning, "Why does she give you the creeps?" The third row left panel shows three men sitting in a circle hands knees in a TikTok video, the man responds to the detective, "The three of em be on TikTok doing gay ass magic tricks look like witchcraft to me." The third row middle panel shows the female detective with her hands clasped in front of her face saying, "And you think they used witchcraft on Brett to make him explode?" The third row right panel shows the detectives and the man being interrogated, he responds, "Yep." The fourth row left panel begins with the male detective responding to the man, "Ok, well hate to break it to you boys but magic and witchcraft aint real." In the middle panel a man with short hair and an angered face gets up to leave and responds to the detective, "Psh you say so." The final right panel of the block shows the case file with a polaroid of Brett's exploded head. The two boys being interrogated meet outside. The panel spans the width of the page. The boy with short hair begins to sit next to the man with the cap outside the station. The short haired boy says, "I don't get it man. They got them on video popping Brett's head like a grape and got the nerve to look at us like we're stupid?" The man in the cap responds, "Cops are fucking useless man." The following panel is half the width of the page, the short haired boy continues as the capped man listens, "But maybe it's a good thing bro. Leaves Reggie and Tilda wide open." In the right half panel the man in the cap is shown saying, "While the pigs are busy playing grab ass, we can nab those fuckers and give em hell for what they did to Brett. The final panel spans the page and shows the silhouette of the two men, the capped on the left and short hair on the right. They fist bump and say "For Brett."
