Get Philly’s best new art listings here!

And thanks again to our white coats in the lab who toiled mightily and are still toiling to make it better.

Thanks to all of you who weighed in on this first round.

You can still submit listings for September at the link.  The form is in there and you can upload an image.  Deadline for Sept. listings is Friday, Sept. 11.  Hold those October submission until after Sept. 11 when a new improved form goes up.  This is only going to get better and better.

We’re still in beta mode with the labs maps and expect to be for a while so keep those cards and letters coming with your comments, suggestions and insights.  We know you have ‘em.  Love, us

    THANK YOU!
Libby, Roberta and the White Coats
for the new art listings – looks good

  2. Colin Keeefe says:

Sweet. Thanks for the regional category! I get a certain perverse pleasure from being in the “Hinterlands”.

  3. GIERSCHICK says:

For some reason, the maps (after the global one) do not load for me; is there a trick to it, or am I missing a program or something? If all other Google features work on my computer, seems like this one should too…

  4. roberta says:

Haha, Colin. but you’re not the most hinter of the hinterlands. we could have inner-hinterlands and outer-hinterlands….like the blue rings and orange rings around cities which designate level of hinterlanded-ness…

  5. Thanks for letting us know about the performance issues GIERSCHICK.

If the maps is getting caught-up on the ‘Global View’ they are not loading correctly for some reason in your computer. In this early version we’re relying pretty heavily on Google’s API and Spreadsheets, so you might just be experiencing a hick-up or connection interruption.

If you visit again and still don’t see it load, perhaps there is something about your browser/OS that doesn’t like the current set-up. There is no special software or flash required, but javascript must be enabled. We recommend Firefox (PC/Mac) for the best viewing experience, and we’ll continue to work to optimize for all browsers & operating systems.

Thanks again for the comment! It helps us build better and stronger and faster into the next release :)

Everything is running fine and looking good! Especially love the little images, go figure right. Thanks for doing this, it will help a lot of people navigate around to the galleries all over the city.

  8. Brad says:

Great idea! I think I misinterpreted the intent with my first attempt to submit Studio 34 — this map is just for specific show listings, not for general “here we are” listings? Brad

  9. roberta says:

Hi Brad, yes, that’s right. It’s for specific shows and Libby wrote you an
email and let me re-iterate what she said. We know you’re having shows and one-day events and we’d love you to submit those. We just can’t have any permanent links. Submit stuff just before the month the event/show happens and thanks for participating in this beta test phase! roberta

  10. We are so excited about this new map thing! great idea ladies. Thank you very much.

Yes, thanks Kelani Nichole for the clarification; the application does work just fine on a newer computer here in my workplace, so I think it’s just my computer’s issue with the newer Google applications. I’ll check it out on my Apple at home :-)
