Lost via UPS

Got this mournful email. I suppose it could be a hoax but it seems unlikely:

Hi,

UPS either lost or someone in their organization has stolen these three paintings as they were being shipped to a gallery in Santa Fe, N.M. (top, “Dog,” middle “Los Angeles,” bottom “Amateurs”).

They were sent September 22nd with “three day shipping.” They were last logged in Albuquerque.

I guess I’m writing for two reasons, one is to warn you not to use UPS. Since the fiasco I’ve heard tons of similar stories and also to ask you if someone sees them somewhere, would you please contact me?

(The paintings were insured but I would rather have them back for the show.)

Thanks,
