In Conclusion

[Note: Final report from Shelley Spector of her time in San Francisco curating and installing the Space 1026 piece at Yerba Buena Center. Read parts 1, 2, 3 , 4 and 5.]

I went to San Francisco to help Space 1026 put together their installation at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. It was not an easy project for any of us; imagine trying to get 25 plus creative people to unify on one vision. But it came off good, really good.

The Space artists never cease to amaze me with their talent, generosity and creative flexibility. On a scale of 1-10 their efforts on this project were 12. I was so proud, a peacock.

From where I sit the Philly art scene looks top notch. I’m a huge fan. Sometimes I wish the city embraced its cultural team like it does the Sixers – when they are winning. I hope Philly realizes the treasures we have here in Space 1026 and elsewhere. Go Philly!
