Vis a vis Roberta’s previous post about art world seances, this image from SCOPE art fair by Markus Vater, fits the bill almost too perfectly. It’s one of a series of photographs called “Soul Sculptures,” at Art Agents Gallery. Maybe the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s recent exhibit of early photographs of the occult influenced this outpouring. Or maybe it’s everyone’s need for magical thinking at a moment when world affairs look so bleak.
